La Luna teams up with CHOOOSE for their upcoming event so that each attendee contributes to reducing global emissions.

Described as "a sultry summer dance affair", La Luna is the party you don't want to miss out on. The event hosted by MATTE goes down in New York on June 15th at the Knockdown Center. Among the artists booked for the night is The Black Madonna, DJ Harvey, DJ Tennis, Moodymann, Romare (live), Lauren Lane, Powder, Zero Presents: Caleesi, Lovecraft b2b Borzu, Daniel Cowel, Barbie Bertisch, Wild Dark, Carlita, Conclave (live) and Medina.

For each sold ticket, La Luna will reduce 457lbs of CO2 per attendee, more than the daily carbon footprint of an average US citizen through CHOOOSE to create an experience with a greater purpose.

Therefore, La Luna has decided to donate 1$ dollar per sold ticket to a Borehole Project in Rwanda, a UN-verified CO2-reducing project improving health and sanitation for the local population by providing access to clean water. This way, all attendees will help to prevent CO2 emission by removing the need to burn wood for water purification in Rwanda.

In total, La Luna will reduce approximately 800-900 tonnes of CO2 for this event in total, which equals the climate effect of over 3000 fewer flights from New York to Los Angeles. “Purposeful in our production, we care about spirit, romance and sustainability” they state.
