Chooose joins Smart Freight Centre to help drive global supply chain decarbonization
At Chooose, our mission is to accelerate the transition to lower carbon solutions by providing businesses with tools and expertise to help reduce emissions. Today, we are proud to announce that we have joined Smart Freight Centre (SFC), a globally recognized non-profit organization driving decarbonization in the freight and logistics sector.
Why supply chain emissions matter
This partnership marks an important step in our ongoing efforts to support players across the value chain — from airlines to freight carriers, logistics providers, and cargo buyers — in reducing their environmental impact. Freight transportation and logistics activities contribute roughly 8% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and without intervention, these emissions are expected to more than double by 2050. Addressing supply chain and transportation emissions are essential to achieving net-zero goals by 2050.
Strengthening Chooose solutions through SFC membership
By joining SFC, Chooose is strengthening our commitment to help drive global supply chain decarbonization by enhancing the solutions we offer our partners. We are working towards accreditation for our emissions calculations under the Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) and ISO 14083 frameworks — globally accepted standards that ensure consistency and credibility in logistics emissions measurement and reporting.
Collaborating with industry leaders
As part of our membership, we will actively participate in SFC’s working groups, including Clean Air Transport (CAT) and the GLEC. This will enable us to collaborate with key industry stakeholders, contribute to shaping a more sustainable future for freight, and ensure our solutions remain aligned with evolving best practices. Come say hello to the Chooose team in Amsterdam at Smart Freight Week 2025, March 18-20th.
Looking ahead: Leading the transition to lower carbon solutions
Ultimately, Chooose’s partnership with SFC is about more than membership — it reflects our ambition to better serve the value chain and accelerate the adoption of lower carbon solutions, such as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). We are committed to leading this transition, giving our partners the confidence that our solutions are aligned with globally recognized best practices and designed to help them scale their decarbonization efforts.
SFC members such as Delta Air Lines, Air Canada, LATAM Cargo, Flexport, and IAG Cargo use the Chooose platform to manage and scale their carbon programs — and we look forward to fostering deeper collaboration across initiatives.
