CHOOOSE named one of PhocusWire’s 25 hottest startups for 2023

CHOOOSE has been named one of the top 25 hottest startups for 2023 by PhocusWire. Co-founder and CEO of CHOOOSE, Andreas Slettvoll, spoke to PhocusWire about our lessons learned since the foundation of the company and our goals for 2023.

“In 2023 we will hyper-accelerate the adoption of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and removals among all travelers—leisure and business, B2C and B2B, people and air freight. We have a target of having exclusive access to offer more than one billion annual travelers to address their carbon footprint. We are on track and we're targeting 4x the revenue of 2022,” Slettvoll told PhocusWire.

He also spoke about CHOOOSE’s path over the last few years: “Everything takes more time than you anticipate—especially when working with travel and tourism during a global pandemic. But we've learned first hand that bold—like doubling down the focus on the travel sector during a pandemic—also pay off if you're patient.”

“What is clearer and clearer every day that passes is that a good idea is worthless without a stellar team that executes,” he said. “We've been lucky enough to attract some of the truly top talent across Europe and the U.S. I can't praise their efforts and quality enough.”

The final selections were made by PhocusWire from a list of more than 120 startups to consider. “In making our selections, we’ve looked for indicators of innovation and growth potential and focused on startups no more than five years since founding. We have also made an effort to find companies that represent diversity in sector, location and founders,” they wrote.

The list of 25 hottest startups includes a variety of travel startups that have been navigating the ever-changing travel space over the last few years, especially considering the Covid-19 pandemic.
