Astrid S announces her biggest ever tour: Astrid_S: World Tour part one, a United Nations Certified ‘Climate Positive’ Tour in Partnership with CHOOOSE.

This fall, Astrid S announces her biggest ever, and first climate neutral, world tour – ‘Astrid_S: World Tour Part One’, comprising of 49 dates across the UK, Europe and US. Alongside a selection of beloved hit tracks from her four EPs, Astrid S fans will experience a selection of exciting, long-awaited new music yet to be released. Tickets are on sale via Astrid’s Facebook page.

The ‘Astrid_S: World Tour Part One’ has been certified by the United Nations as an official signatory of UN’s Climate Neutral Now programme. To achieve this, Astrid partnered with CHOOOSE to measure, reduce and overcompensate the carbon footprint of her tour through UN-verified carbon credits. This was done by funding a closely selected climate project verified by the United Nations, replacing oil and coal with renewable energy and creating better opportunities for the local population. Emissions are reduced twice as much as the initial footprint, making the tour not only climate neutral but ‘climate positive’.

Of the tour, Astrid S says:

“I’m going back on tour this fall - my biggest tour yet! The past couple of years I’ve been lucky to tour as a support act for artists that I’m a big fan of and make new friends and fans along the way. But there is something special about going on a tour where everyone in the room came to see you. I can’t wait to bring this new show on the road with new music! It’s impossible to describe just how intense, exciting, scary and magically touring can be. I just hope someone will show up so I can keep on doing this for years and years because it makes me very happy."

On working with CHOOOSE and the UN:

“Caring for the environment and the generations to come should be at the core of every one of us. No one is perfect, but if everyone does a little it suddenly becomes a lot. Partnering with CHOOOSE is a way for me to take responsibility for my touring, and create a positive impact from doing what I love”, says Astrid S.

For her biggest ever world tour, Astrid S will be playing 49 dates across the UK, Europe and the US, including one night at London’s O2 Academy Islington.

«It's fantastic that Astrid S teams up with CHOOOSE for her tour, and even better knowing that the contribution supports sustainable development and carbon reduction in Vietnam. That Astrid S uses her platform to achieve meaningful change is a great example of how combining culture and climate really can make a difference», says CHOOOSE CEO and founder Andreas Slettvoll.

The tour kicks off on September 30th in Moss, Norway. For full dates of the European and UK tour, check Astrid's website here!
