Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has introduced a new carbon program for corporate customers, enabling business travelers to better understand their travel-related carbon emissions and support certified climate projects. This initiative will soon include sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) options as well.

Expanding sustainability efforts

The MH Corporate Program builds on the success of MAG’s passenger carbon program, launched in June 2023 in partnership with Chooose. This expansion underscores MAG’s commitment to environmental responsibility and promoting more sustainable air travel.

Personalized emissions management

MAG’s corporate clients will gain access to a personalized portal that allows them to measure and monitor their business travel carbon emissions. They can then voluntarily make contributions to certified carbon projects in an amount associated with their estimated flight-related emissions. The portal provides detailed, real-time analytics, information about the carbon projects, and performance tracking over time.

Phillip See, Group Chief Sustainability officer at Malaysia Aviation Group, stated, “Extending our Carbon Program to our corporate customers reaffirms MAG’s commitment to sustainability. This initiative helps corporate clients meet net-zero targets and address carbon emissions in a meaningful way. We’re also looking forward to complementing the support of certified climate projects with the option to support sustainable aviation fuel in the near future, recognizing the crucial role it will play in decarbonizing the aviation industry. Through this partnership with Chooose, we aim to drive positive climate action.”

Andreas Slettvoll, CEO at Chooose, added, “It’s an honor to support Malaysia Aviation Group in growing their carbon program to include not only individual travelers, but also corporate customers. If the aviation industry is to successfully decarbonize by 2050, it’s critical for airlines to employ multi-faceted programs—and it’s encouraging to see MAG put an emphasis on sustainability by expanding their program. Additionally, we look forward to enabling the support of sustainable aviation fuel through both the MH Passenger carbon program and Corporate carbon program next.”
